01.5.2007

(Basketball News) - The new-look Philadelphia 76ers finish a season-long seven-game road trip, as they visit the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at the Target Center.

Philadelphia is 2-4 on the swing. On Wednesday, Carlos Boozer ended with 27 points and 14 rebounds to lead the Utah Jazz to a 98-87 victory over the Sixers at EnergySolutions Arena.

Andre Miller posted a team-high 17 points, seven rebounds and five assists in the loss to the Jazz for Philadelphia, which has dropped two of its last three games. Andre Iguodala contributed 16 points, while Joe Smith netted 13 and pulled down six boards in defeat.

On the injury front for Philadelphia, forward Chris Webber ( bruised right foot) is questionable for tonight’s contest. He has missed four straight games.

The Sixers are 4-7 on the road this season. They return home to host the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday at the Wachovia Center.

Minnesota attempts to win its third game in a row, as it plays the second of a four-game homestand. Mark Blount shot 12-of-14 from the field for 28 points as the Timberwolves edged the San Antonio Spurs, 103-101, in overtime on Wednesday at the Target Center.

All-Star Kevin Garnett collected 27 points and 17 rebounds in the win over San Antonio for the Timberwolves, while rookie Randy Foye netted 19 and Trenton Hassell scored 11 points and eight boards in the victory.

The Timberwolves, who have won three in a row at the Target Center, are a solid 9-5 at home this season. They will host Houston on Sunday and the Clippers on Wednesday.

This is the second and final time the Timberwolves and 76ers will meet this season. On December 3rd, Ricky Davis poured in 22 points and Garnett had 15 points and 14 rebounds as Minnesota ended beat Philadelphia, 95-84, at the Wachovia Center.

Philadelphia has lost six of its last nine at Minnesota.
