Columbus, OH (Basketball News) - Je’Kel Foster scored 15 points in leading the Ohio State Buckeyes to a 75-65 victory over the Purdue Boilermakers in a Big Ten Conference matchup from Value City Arena.
J.J. Sullinger chipped in with 13 points for the Buckeyes (15-7, 4-4 BigTen), while Matt Sylvester had 12 points in a reserve role.
Terence Dials and Tony Stockman both finished with 11 points, as Dials also pulled down a game-high 11 boards.
Purdue (5-14, 1-7) was paced in defeat by Carl Landry, who scored a game-high 23 points and grabbed a team-high 10 rebounds. David Teague tallied 14 points in the losing effort, while Brandon McKnight had 12 points and seven rebounds.
The Buckeyes made just 38.7 percent of their field goal attempts in the first half, but still took a 33-30 advantage into the break.
Ohio State connected on 18-of-24 shots taken from the foul line in the second stanza, as it cruised to the 10-point win.
Purdue dominated the Buckeyes on the boards, 43-28, but it could not overcome 20 turnovers and just 5-of-9 shooting from the charity stripe.
