Salt Lake City, UT (Basketball News) - Mehmet Okur scored 24 points and pulled down 12 rebounds, as the Utah Jazz dominated the Detroit Pistons on the boards for a 92-78 victory at the Delta Center.
Andrei Kirilenko totaled 22 points, 12 rebounds and seven assists for Utah, while Jarron Collins corraled 14 rebounds for the Jazz, who outrebounded the Pistons, 55-27.
Kirilenko also blocked four shots as the Jazz overcame injuries to snap Detroit’s six-game winning streak and send the Pistons to just their third loss in 18 games this season.
Jazz center Greg Ostertag left the game in the first quarter with a knee injury. Guards Gordan Giricek (Achilles) and Deron Wiliams (ear infection) also didn’t play.
Richard Hamilton and Rasheed Wallace each had 16 points for Detroit, which shot 38.2 percent from the field.
