Orlando, FL (Basketball News) - Tim Duncan scored 26, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked five shots to lead the San Antonio Spurs over the Orlando Magic, 110-85, at TD Waterhouse Centre.
Tony Parker added 20 points and seven assists and Robert Horry tallied a season-high 18 points for the Spurs, who won their fourth straight courtesy of a second half that saw the team score 64 points.
Jameer Nelson tallied 20 points and DeShawn Stevenson had 15 points and seven rebounds for the Magic, who have dropped four in a row.
With the Spurs ahead 54-53 early in the third, Parker spearheaded a 14-4 run by San Antonio that increased the lead to 68-57. Parker scored the final seven points of the burst, giving the Spurs their first double-digit lead of the night.
Later, with the lead trimmed to 68-61, Horry started a 9-0 spurt that ended the quarter and sent the Spurs into the fourth with an 77-61 cushion.
The Magic began the final stanza on a 10-1 run to get within 78-71. Travis Diener and Pat Garrity each hit a three-pointer to start the spurt, and Hedo Turkoglu ended it with a three-point play with just under 10 minutes left.
However, that would be as close as the Magic would get. The Spurs answered with a 13-2 burst to take control. Horry’s putback dunk with 5 1/2 left ended the run that gave the Spurs a 91-73 cushion and the club ran away from there.
"We played a good second half and moved the ball well offensively and at the defensive end made the stops we needed," said San Antonio head coach Gregg Popovich.
Dwight Howard had 13 points and 15 rebounds for Orlando, which tallied only 15 points in the third quarter and 24 in the fourth.
"Well it was obviously a game of two halves," said Orlando head coach Brian Hill.
The Spurs led 26-25 after one quarter and Horry’s three-pointer at the buzzer of the second sent the game into halftime tied at 46-46.
San Antonio has won four straight on the road.
The Magic had a three-game home winning streak halted.
