NBA Game Summary - Washington at Memphis

Memphis, TN (Basketball News) - Memphis rookie Hakim Warrick came off the bench and scored 19 points as the Grizzlies defeated the Washington Wizards 104-79 at the FedEx Forum.

Pau Gasol added 19 points and eight rebounds for Memphis in the win. Eddie Jones and Damon Stoudamire started the game and both scored nine points.

Washington was led by guard Chucky Atkins’ 19 points. One bright spot in the Washington loss was the play of rookie Donnell Taylor. He scored 14 points off the bench.

The Wizards were playing without star Gilbert Arenas, who did not dress because of a groin injury.
