Bobcats lose White for season 02.24.2005

White, who is slated to undergo surgery, played in 18 games this season for the Bobcats, averaging 2.5 points and 2.0 rebounds per game.
The 29-year-old Georgetown product suffered the problem in a loss versus the New Jersey Nets on November 30.
In other news for Charlotte, the Bobcats have gained the first-round pick in the 2005 NBA Draft owned by Cleveland. When Charlotte acquired a first-round pick from Phoenix through the Expansion Selection, the Cavaliers were permitted to keep the pick if it fell within certain draft positions. Cleveland has now removed all restrictions on the pick, giving the selection to the Bobcats
