Bosh stars as Raptors down Bucks

01.11.2007

Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - Chris Bosh scored 30 points and gathered eight rebounds to pace Toronto past the Milwaukee Bucks, 90-77, at the Bradley Center.

Anthony Parker dropped in 18 points while T.J. Ford finished with 15 points and 10 assists for the Raptors, who have won three of their last four.

Andrew Bogut totaled 17 points and 18 rebounds for Milwaukee, which has dropped four in a row and five of six. The Bucks were playing their second game without the services of Michael Redd, who will miss four-to-six weeks with a strained patellar tendon in his left knee.

Ruben Patterson also had 17 points in defeat.

"The second half went terrible. We couldn’t hit any shots," Patterson said.

The two teams fought to a 28-28 first-quarter deadlock, but Toronto outscored the Bucks 26-18 in the second frame to grab a 54-46 halftime edge.

Milwaukee actually owned a 39-33 advantage early in the second following a Ersan Ilyasova bucket, but the Raptors countered with an 11-2 burst that put them in front by three.

The score remained tight until the final seconds, when Parker struck from behind the arc and Bosh followed with a traditional three-point play on the next sequence to give the road team an eight-point advantage at intermission.

Bosh led all scorers at halftime with 17 points on 7-of-9 shooting.

The Raptors then started the third quarter with a 7-2 spurt, capped by Parker’s slam, to up the lead to 61-48. Milwaukee only scored 11 points in the entire quarter, and trailed 71-57 with 12 minutes to play.

"It’s always satisfying for every win you get," Ford said.

The Bucks briefly moved within double digits midway through the fourth, but never seriously threatened.

Game Notes

The Bucks have dropped four in a row for the second time this season...The 11 points in a quarter was a season low for Milwaukee. The previous low was versus Cleveland on January 5, when the Bucks scored 12 in a stanza.
