Bucks continue road trip against Clippers

01.23.2007

(Basketball News) - The Milwaukee Bucks resume a four-game road trip out west this evening when they pay a visit to the Los Angeles Clippers at the Staples Center.

Milwaukee has lost three in a row and is 0-2 so far on the trek. On Sunday the Bucks suffered a 99-95 loss to the Portland Trail Blazers at The Rose Garden, as Earl Boykins poured in 28 points and dished out six assists. Charlie Bell added 23 points and Andrew Bogut tallied 16 points and seven rebounds for the Bucks, who have dropped eight of nine.

The Bucks, who are 8-16 on the road this season and last in the Central standings, will close out the trip at Sacramento on Wednesday. Bucks forward Brian Skinner (flu-like symptoms) is questionable for Tuesday’s game, while guard Maurice Williams (sprained left shoulder) is doubtful.

Los Angeles has won the first two games of its five-game homestand and notched a 112-91 win over the Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday.

Elton Brand scored 34 points and Sam Cassell netted 21 points and dished out 14 assists for the Clippers, who won their fourth of six. Chris Kaman added 12 points and nine rebounds for Los Angeles and Corey Maggette added 11 points and nine boards.

The Clippers, who are 14-7 at the Staples Center this season, will also welcome New Jersey and Minnesota to the City of Angels.

Tuesday’s game between Milwaukee and Los Angeles is the first of the season. The Clippers have won three straight, five of six and six of the last eight meetings.

Milwaukee has dropped six in a row and nine of 11 at the Clippers.
