Bucks contiune swing in Portland

(Basketball News) - The Milwaukee Bucks play the second of a four-game road trip when they visit the Portland Trail Blazers tonight at the Rose Garden.

This is the second and final meeting of the season between the teams. The Bucks defeated the Trail Blazers, 102-94, in overtime on December 6th at the Bradley Center.

Milwaukee has won three of its last four at Portland. The Bucks have won three in a row in the series.

Ths Bucks enter tonight’s contest on a two-game losing streak. Ray Allen poured in 21 points as the Seattle SuperSonics continued their dominance of Milwaukee with a 99-72 rout of the Bucks on Friday at KeyArena.

Ruben Patterson scored 16 points and Andrew Bogut contributed 14 points and seven boards in the loss to Seattle for the Bucks, who have dropped two in a row and seven of their last eight contests overall.

Milwaukee is without guards Michael Redd (strained patellar tendon in left knee) and Mo Williams (sprained left shoulder) and forward Charlie Villanueva (right shoulder tendinitis).

The Bucks are 8-15 on the road this season. They will also visit the Clippers and Sacramento on the current swing.

The Trail Blazers play the first of a brief two-game homestand. On Friday, Amare Stoudemire scored 23 points as the Phoenix Suns held off Portland, 106-101, at US Airways Center.

Zach Randolph had a game-high 36 points and 15 rebounds in the loss to Phoenix for the Trail Blazers. who have lost five of their last seven games overall. Rookie Brandon Roy tallied 22 points and Jarrett Jack, Ime Udoka and LaMarcus Aldridge all contributed 10 points in defeat.

Portland is 9-12 at home this season. The Trail Blazers will host the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday.
