Bucks’ Skinner undergoes surgery

11.6.2003

Milwaukee, WI (Basketball News) - Milwaukee Bucks forward Brian Skinner underwent arthroscopic surgery Thursday to remove loose cartilage from his left knee. He is expected to be out of action for about six weeks.

In three games this season, Skinner has averaged 11.3 points, 8.3 rebounds and a team-high 3.3 blocks.

Skinner, who was signed by the Bucks as a free agent in the offseason, spent his first three campaigns with the Los Angeles Clippers. After one year in Cleveland, Skinner joined Philadelphia for the 2002-03 campaign.

He was selected by the Clippers in the first round (22nd pick overall) of the 1998 NBA Draft. In 238 games in the NBA, Skinner has averaged 4.8 points and 4.6 rebounds.

The Bucks also announced that they activated center Joel Przybilla from the injured list. The Minnesota product had missed five games with a strained patellar tendon in his right knee.
