Phoenix, AZ (Basketball News) - The Phoenix Suns placed forward Zarko Cabarkapa on the injured list Friday with a fractured right wrist. He will miss up to eight weeks.
Cabarkapa was injured in Wednesday night’s loss to Dallas when Mavs forward Danny Fortson shoved him hard in the chest as he was taking off for a dunk.
Fortson was whistled for a flagrant foul, and received a three-game suspension from the league on Friday.
Cabarkapa, a rookie first-round draft pick, was making his first start of the season in place of the injured Shawn Marion. He posted career-highs of 17 points and nine rebounds before leaving in the fourth quarter.
Also on Friday, the Suns activated forward Robert Archibald from the injured list.
