Baker, currently playing with New York, filed a complaint through the NBA Players Association after the Celtics suspended him indefinitely January 23 for failing to comply with his aftercare program stemming from alcohol abuse. The forward had $35 million and 2 1/2 years remaining on his current contract.
An arbitration hearing scheduled for April 26 has been cancelled.
In 17 games with the Knicks, who take on New Jersey in the opening round of the Eastern Conference playoffs, Baker is averaging 6.6 points and 4.1 rebounds.
