(Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls miserable season continued on Monday with a 93-84 setback at the hands of the equally atrocious Orlando Magic at the United Center.
Marcus Fizer tied a career-high with 30 points and set a career-best with 20 boards for Chicago, which has dropped four of five. Jamal Crawford followed up his 50-point performance with 14 points on 5-of-17 shooting, as the Bulls completed their home season.
Leading 53-46 early in the third quarter, Orlando went on a 13-0 run to take control. Juwan Howard scored the final 10 points of the run, capping it with a pair of free throws with 6:47 remaining for a 66-46 cushion.
From there the Magic cruised into the fourth with a 70-54 lead.
In the final 12 minutes Chicago drew within nine, 83-74, but Howard scored eight in row to extend the Magic’s lead to 17.
Chris Jeffries ended with 15 points for the Bulls.
Chicago wraps up its campaign on Wednesday in Indiana against the Pacers.
