(Basketball News) - The Bulls fell 105-96 at the hands of the Miami Heat at American Airlines Arena.
Kirk Hinrich scored 20 points to lead the Bulls, who have lost five straight. Antonio Davis had 14 points and 10 rebounds in the loss, while Eddy Curry tacked on 16 points.
Jannero Pargo posted 12 points and Ronald Dupree chipped in 11 points for Chicago in the defeat.
Chicago played without Tyson Chandler (suspension) and Jerome Williams (sprained left knee) in the loss. Chandler was suspended by the league for throwing a punch at Atlanta’s Michael Bradley on Saturday.
Chicago actually led 75-72 after three quarters, but it couldn’t hold on for the victory. Miami’s Brian Grant hit a 16-foot jumper with 4:42 to play to give Miami an 87-86 edge and the Bulls never led again.
The Bulls own the second-worst record (20-54) in the Eastern Conference — 1 1/2 games ahead of Orlando (19-56).
Chicago continues its stretch run Wednesday, when it heads to Orlando to battle the Magic. The Bulls are only 7-30 on the road this season.
