|
(Basketball News) - The Chicago Bulls failed to pick up their first win of the season on Wednesday, as they dropped a 98-85 decision to the Golden State Warriors at The Arena.
Kirk Hinrich had 15 points and 10 assists for the Bulls, who have dropped their first six games and are off to their worst start since 1967-68 when the club began 0-9. Andres Nocioni and Eric Piatkowski each chipped in 13 in the loss.
Chicago and the New Orleans Hornets (0-7) are the only two winless teams in the NBA. The 1967-68 Bulls team ended the season 29-53.
Rookie Ben Gordon scored 12 points in 12 minutes off the bench against the Warriors after getting shut out Tuesday at Sacramento. He has scored at least 10 points in each game following a single-digit performance.
After recording consecutive double-doubles, center Tyson Chandler and forward Eddy Curry each had games to forget. Chandler scored just three points on 1- of-9 shooting and grabbed eight rebounds, while Curry scored four points and recorded just two rebounds.
Curry, who could be on the move soon, also turned the ball over seven times in 17 minutes.
Chicago continues its seven-game road trip in Denver on Friday.
