(Basketball News) - Zydrunas Ilgauskas had 19 points and eight rebounds to lead Cleveland past Atlanta, 95-85, at Gund Arena on Saturday. The Cavaliers halted an eight-game losing streak.
Jason Kapono added a career-high 16 points off the bench, while rookie phenom LeBron James finished with eight points, six boards and five assists for the Cavaliers. All five of Cleveland’s wins have come at home.
Darius Miles had 15 points off the pine and Carlos Boozer chipped in 12 and 10 rebounds in the win for the Cavs, who ended a six-game skid against Atlanta.
With less than six minutes to play in the game, Miles converted a three-point play for an 84-74 Cleveland lead. The Cavaliers later grabbed their biggest lead of the game at 93-80 on Kapono’s basket en route to the big win.
Cleveland returns to the court on Tuesday when they host the Toronto Raptors.
