Cleveland Cavaliers Team Report - March 20

03.20.2004

=== Cleveland Cavaliers Team Report - March 20 ===

(Basketball News) - Nobody’s perfect. The Cavaliers proved that Friday night, as they fell 97-88 to the Utah Jazz at Gund Arena.

Carlos Boozer recorded 21 points and 13 rebounds and Zydrunas Ilgauskas chipped in 24 points for the Cavaliers, who had their seven-game winning streak come to an end.

LeBron James was slowed by a chest cold, as he finished with just 14 points on 4-of-14 shooting. James, who also posted seven rebounds, shouldn’t miss any time due to the sickness.

The Cavaliers pulled within two points at 82-80 when James hit 1-of-2 from the line with 6:26 remaining. But the Jazz scored eight of the next 10 points to create some breathing room. They then converted from the line down the stretch to preserve the victory.

Cavs guard Jeff McInnis missed the contest with a bruised shoulder. It is unknown when McInnis will return to the court.

The two teams split two games this season. Cleveland has not swept the season series with Utah since the 1981-82 season.

Cleveland will continue its current five-game homestand Sunday, as it will host the red hot Detroit Pistons.
