Los Angeles, which is 7-15 on the road this season, is 1-1 so far on the trip and had a three-game winning streak halted with Sunday’s 122-110 loss to the Toronto Raptors at the Air Canada Centre.
Cuttino Mobley poured in 24 points and Elton Brand finished with 21 points, 10 rebounds and six assists for the Clippers, who will also visit Cleveland, Philadelphia, Indiana and Detroit on the swing.
New York, meanwhile, has won two of its last three games, including Saturday’s 94-86 win over the Orlando Magic at Amway Arena.
Eddy Curry poured in 27 points and Channing Frye scored 18 points, as the Knicks ended a three-game losing streak against the Magic. Stephon Marbury scored 14 points in the winning effort.
The Knicks are 12-13 as the host this season. New York forward Jared Jeffries (bruised lower back) is questionable for Tuesday’s game.
Tuesday’s showdown between the Clippers and Knicks is the second and final meeting of the season. Los Angeles won the first matchup, 90-80, on December 31 and has won four straight and five of the last six encounters.
The Clippers, though, have lost eight of their last 10 in the Big Apple.
