Hornets rescind trade with Sixers

Philadelphia, PA (Basketball News) - The New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets rescinded a trade that would have sent Philadelphia Sixers center Steven Hunter to the Hornets in exchange for two future second-round picks.

The trade was originally announced last Wednesday, February 1.

"New Orleans/Oklahoma City informed us today that they were rescinding the trade for Steven Hunter," said Sixers’ President Billy King. "They had some concerns after Steven’s physical examination and feel that rescinding the trade is in their best interest."

King also said that he expects Hunter to return to the Sixers’ lineup.

Hunter is averaging 4.9 points and 3.5 rebounds in 38 games this season.
