(Basketball News) - Dirk Nowitzki poured in 34 points and grabbed 15 rebounds to lead the Dallas Mavericks to a 101-88 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers at Staples Center.
Antawn Jamison added 17 points for the Mavericks, winners of three of their last four. Steve Nash chipped in 16 and handed out a game-high 11 assists while Michael Finley had 14 points for Dallas, which has won 19 of the last 23 in the head-to-head series.
The Mavs have won seven of the last nine contests with the Clippers. The Mavericks have won nine of their last 11 at the Clippers.
Dallas is in third place in the Midwest Division, 3 1/2 games behind the first-place Timberwolves. The Mavs are currently seeded fifth in the Western Conference playoff race, one game ahead of the Memphis Grizzlies.
The Mavericks are off until Wednesday when they host the Atlanta Hawks. Earlier this season, Dallas lost to the Hawks, 102-96, on February 9 at Philips Arena.
