(Basketball News) - The Dallas Mavericks lost their second straight game on Wednesday, as they fell to the Indiana Pacers, 103-99, at Conseco Fieldhouse.
Dirk Nowitzki had 22 points and seven boards for the Mavericks, who have dropped two straight contests. Dallas, which played without guard Michael Finley due to a strained right calf, is one game behind Memphis for fifth place in the West.
Antoine Walker contributed 15 points and 11 boards, while Antawn Jamison also had 15 points in the loss. Steve Nash finished with 13 points and a game-high 14 assists for Dallas.
The Mavericks are off until Friday when they visit the Miami Heat. Earlier this season, the Mavs defeated the Heat, 103-93, on November 3, 2003 at American Airlines Center.
Nowitzki has scored 21 or more points in six straight games. He has averaged 26.5 points in that span.
