Dallas Mavericks Team Report - March 6

(Basketball News) - The Dallas Mavericks lost to the San Antonio Spurs, 113-100, on Friday at the SBC Center.

Dirk Nowitzki netted 21 points and grabbed nine boards for the Mavericks, who have dropped two straight after a six-game winning streak. Michael Finley contributed 19 points before being ejected in the third quarter.

This was the fourth and final contest between the two clubs this season. Dallas had won all three of the previous meetings.

Dallas has scored at least 100 points 41 times (31-10) this season.. The Mavericks fell to 11-18 on the road.

The Mavericks are off until Sunday when they visit Steve Francis and the Houston Rockets. It will be third meeting of the season between the two squads, as the Mavs won the previous two contests, which were both at Dallas.

Nowitzki has scored in double digits in nine straight games. He has averaged 20.2 points and 8.6 rebounds in that span.
