(Basketball News) - Antawn Jamison scored 20 points and Dirk Nowitzki added 15 with 11 rebounds to lead the Dallas Mavericks to an 81-78 victory over San Antonio on Saturday.
Steve Nash, who was questionable with a shoulder injury suffered against Washington on Wednesday, scored 15 points with six assists. Tony Delk contributed 12 points for Dallas, which snapped a two-game skid.
Jamison scored nine points in the fourth quarter to help Dallas escape with the victory. Nash gave Dallas the lead for good, 79-78, with a 22-foot jumper with 1:13 to play.
Michael Finley grabbed a critical offensive rebound and Jamison put back a miss by Nash to give Dallas an 81-78 lead with five seconds remaining to seal the win.
San Antonio’s Robert Horry missed from three-point range just before the horn sounded. The Spurs managed just 11 points in the fourth quarter.
Dallas was just 8-of-15 from the free throw line,
The Mavs are off until Tuesday when they host the New Orleans Hornets.
