Also, free-agent point guard Sam Cassell, 38, has told the Rocky Mountain News he’s interested in playing one more season and will consider the Nuggets. And there are rumblings that, with Chicago having drafted point guard Derrick Rose with the top pick, Bulls point guard Kirk Hinrich could be on the move, with Denver a possible landing spot.

But money likely will play a big role in any move by the Nuggets, who will have the midlevel exception of about $5.5 million and the biannual exception of $1.91 million. They have eight players with guaranteed contracts worth more than $78 million and must carry at least 13 players.

on 07.3.2008		 kirk would add excitment to nuggets season without a doubt! but will he deliver a championship the denver nuggets been dreaming about! IDK! he wouldnt be a bad start! at PG! but is PG are most concern? maybe not! melo and ai do well making numbers! DEFENSE! i mean train melo this summer season on defense! bring in more hungry defense of players! KIRK isnt bad! but question is will karl do it?? IDK? he didnt pull the trigger on artest! BUT anyway this hasnt even came up as a rumor! Remember kirk hinrich is still a bull as now! depending on if he will opt out or get dropped! who knows really! NBA trades never really come through as expected. but if kirk is a free agent! i expect nuggets to be aggressive and sign him ASAP... karl needs to take a second chance at being coach serious! .
