(Basketball News) - The Denver Nuggets found themselves on the losing end of a 97-95 decision against the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Pepsi Center.
Andre Miller posted his first triple-double of the season with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists in a losing effort. Earl Boykins had 18 points and Chris Andersen added a season-high 15 points and 10 rebounds off the bench for the Nuggets, who have lost three straight.
Carmelo Anthony had 14 points for the Nuggets, who blew an eight-point lead late in the fourth quarter.
Denver led 90-82 after a jumper by Boykins with 5:16 to play in the contest, but the Timberwolves used a 15-5 run to close out the game and escape with the win.
The Nuggets, who did not hit a shot from the field in the final 2:01, played the game without Voshon Lenard. He sat out the contest with a strained right quadriceps and is listed as day-to-day.
The Nuggets, who have just two of their last six at home and are 17-8 in their arena this season. will return to action on Wednesday against the Chicago Bulls.
