(Basketball News) - The Denver Nuggets lost to the Minnesota Timberwolves, 89-76, at the Target Center on Tuesday evening, ending a two-game winning streak.
Nikoloz Tskitishvili scored 14 points for the Nuggets, who had their two-game winning streak snapped. Jon Barry and Rodney White each scored 11 points in the loss.
Rookie sensation Carmelo Anthony added 10 points and nine rebounds, while making just 3-of-12 shots from the floor. Denver shot poorly as a team in the loss, hitting on just 32 percent (27-of-84) of its shots.
The Nuggets were playing without second-year center Nene, who missed the game with a strained left groin. He is listed as questionable for tonight’s contest.
Denver begins a brief two-game homestand tonight when it welcomes Milwaukee to the Pepsi Center.
