(Basketball News) - Carmelo Anthony scored 23 points and dished out seven assists, lifting the Denver Nuggets to a 108-87 victory over the Washington Wizards on Friday at the Pepsi Center.
Voshon Lenard added 19 points and six assists for the Nuggets, who have won four of their last five games to improve to 7-5 overall this season. Denver is now two games over .500 for the first time since February of 2001.
The unselfish Nuggets were sharing the ball all night, as Andre Miller added eight assists of his own. Overall, the Nuggets had 38 helpers on 44 baskets.
Miller also had 15 points in the win.
Denver had 10 blocked shots, including five from Chris Anderson.
Marcus Camby pulled down a game-high 13 boards.
The Nuggets improved to 5-1 as the host this season.
The Nuggets visit the Dallas Mavericks tonight.
