Detroit Pistons Team Report - January 31

(Basketball News) - The Detroit Pistons welcome Pau Gasol and the surprising Memphis Grizzlies to The Palace of Auburn Hills tonight.

Earlier this season, Detroit knocked off the Grizzlies, 99-92, on November 19, 2003 at The Pyramid. The Pistons have won five straight and eight of their last nine contests with the Grizzlies, who have lost four straight at Detroit.

Detroit, which has won nine of its last 10 as the host, is 18-6 at home this season.

On Friday, Richard Hamilton scored four of his 28 points in the final minute of overtime to lead Detroit to a 90-89 win over the Toronto Raptors at Air Canada Centre.

Chauncey Billups registered 19 points for the Pistons, who won their second straight game. Mehmet Okur finished with 16 points, while Wallace added 18 rebounds and blocked Toronto’s final shot at the buzzer to preserve the victory.
