Forward Pau Gasol, who was the subject of trade rumors throughout the season, continues to play hard and put up impressive numbers. Gasol leads the Grizzlies in scoring (21.3 ppg) and rebounding (9.6 rpg). He has scored in double-digits in 46 of 47 games this season and has collected 26 double- doubles this season.
Gasol has collected a double-double in five straight outings and is averaging 26.4 points and 14.0 rebounds in that span. The 7-0 Spaniard has logged at least 35 minutes in seven straight contests.
The Phoenix Suns try to get back on the winning track when they host the Grizzlies on Monday at US Airways Center. It is the third of four meetings between the clubs this season. Phoenix won the two previous contests and has captured three in a row in the series.
Memphis has lost two straight after winning its last two at Phoenix. The Suns will visit Memphis on April 3rd at FedExForum.
The Grizzlies have dropped three in a row and will play the second of a six- game road trip against Phoenix. Carlos Boozer scored 28 points and grabbed 15 rebounds, as the Utah Jazz topped the Grizzlies, 118-108, on Saturday at EnergySolutions Arena.
