Gerald Wallace Close to Return

Charlotte Bobcats forward Gerald Wallace is expected to return to full-contact practice at the start of next week and might play in a game as soon as Wednesday at the Mavericks.

Wallace has been sidelined since being knocked unconscious in a game Feb. 22.

"He’s been working out, and he’s been on the floor. Did some up-and-down running, got a little winded," Charlotte coach Sam Vincent said before Saturday night’s game against the Washington Wizards. "But he’s feeling pretty comfortable that by the Dallas game he should at least be good enough to be able to get on the floor a little bit." [ESPN.com]
