Golden State hosts the Jazz

Golden State is one game behind the Clippers for the eighth and final playoff berth in the Western Conference. However, the Warriors, who have just five games left on their schedule, have played two more contests than the Clippers.

On Saturday, Tim Duncan posted 28 points and 15 rebounds to lead the San Antonio Spurs to a convincing 112-99 win over the Warriors at the AT&T Center.

Jason Richardson scored 23 points and Al Harrington netted 22 for the Warriors, who have not qualified for postseason action since 1994. Baron Davis ended with 17 points, while Stephen Jackson added 14 for Golden State, which had a four-game winning streak halted.

The Warriors are 27-11 at home this season. They will visit Mike Bibby and the Sacramento Kings on Friday at ARCO Arena. Golden State will play three of its final five games at ORACLE Arena.

Utah, which is the fourth seed in the West and is just a half game ahead of No. 5 Houston, has dropped three straight contests. Rashard Lewis registered 35 points as he helped lead Seattle to an improbable come from behind 106-103 victory over the Jazz on Saturday at EnergySolutions Arena.

Deron Williams scored 24 points and dished out a team-best 13 assists in the loss to the SuperSonics for Utah, which has lost four of its last five games overall. All-Star forward Carlos Boozer also collected a double-double with16 points and 13 rebounds in defeat.

The Jazz are 19-20 on the road this season. They will host Allen Iverson and the Denver Nuggets on Wednesday at EnergySolutions Arena.

On the injury front for Utah, forward Andrei Kirilenko (left thumb) is questionable for tonight’s contest. Kirilenko, who did not play against Seattle, is averaging 8.5 points, 4.7 rebounds and 2.9 assists in 68 games this season.

This is the fourth and final meeting of the season between the squads. Utah is 2-1 against the Warriors this season.

Utah has won three of its last five at Golden State, and have captured four of the last five contests in the series.
