(Basketball News) - Jason Richardson returned to the lineup and collected 16 points and 10 rebounds, as the Golden State Warriors crushed the Atlanta Hawks, 99-72, at the Arena in Oakland Wednesday.
Richardson was suspended for the first three games of the season after he was convicted of domestic violence, breaking the law in the State of Michigan.
Mike Dunleavy chipped in 13 points and 10 boards and Erick Dampier recorded his fourth consecutive double-double for Golden State with 11 points and 18 rebounds.
Clifford Robinson added 13 points for Golden State, which evened its record at 2-2 on the campaign. Nick Van Exel also saw his first action of the season for the Warriors and contributed 12 points and six assists. Van Exel, who was acquired in a trade with Dallas in August, had been recovering from offseason knee surgery.
Golden State forward Popeye Jones underwent surgery on Wednesday to repair torn cartilage in his left knee, while teammate Adonal Foyle will have more surgery on his left knee on Thursday.
The Warriors are off until Friday when they host the Utah Jazz.
