Grizzlies visit slumping Clippers 11.29.2006

The Grizzlies have won five of their last six at the Clippers. Memphis has won three straight and four of the last five contests in this series.
Los Angeles returns home after going 0-3 on a three-game road trip. On Tuesday, Ron Artest scored 28 points and pulled down eight rebounds as the Kings continued their domination of the Clippers with a 93-80 victory. Sacramento beat the Clippers for the 14th straight time overall and 17th consecutive time at ARCO Arena.
Shaun Livingston ended with 20 points in the loss to Sacramento for the Clippers, who fell to 0-6 on the road this season. Cuttino Mobley ended with 16 points, while Elton Brand posted 13 points and 18 boards for the Clippers, who also got 12 points from Tim Thomas.
On the injury front for the Clippers, veteran guard Sam Cassell (sprained left ankle) is questionable, while center Chris Kaman (sprained left ankle) is expected to miss tonight’s contest. Kaman has missed the last three games and Cassell, who is averaging a team-best 17.8 points per game, did not play against Sacramento.
The Clippers, who begin a four-game homestand this evening, are 6-1 as the host this season. They will host the Lakers on Saturday, Orlando on Sunday and Miami on December 5th in the finale of the current stand.
Memphis tries to win back-to-back games for the first time this season as it concludes a three-game road trip this evening. On Tuesday, Hakim Warrick scored a team-high 25 points and Chucky Atkins added 22 to lead the Grizzlies to a 108-96 win over the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.
Lawrence Roberts contributed 16 points and Mike Miller added 13 points and dished out a career-high 14 assists in the win over the Nuggets for the Grizzlies, who snapped a 17-game skid at Denver
The Grizzlies are 1-7 on the road this season. After tonight’s game, Memphis returns home to host the Miami Heat on Saturday at the FedExForum.
