Hawks’ Josh Smith fined $25,000

New York, NY (Basketball News) - Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Smith was fined $25,000 for making an obscene gesture to the crowd in last Saturday’s 104-85 loss to the Charlotte Bobcats.

The incident occurred when Smith was given a technical foul after being called for an offensive foul late in the second quarter. He continued to argue and was then handed a second technical along with an ejection.

As he left for the locker room, he raised both middle fingers to the Charlotte crowd while in the tunnel.

The Hawks travel to Chicago on Tuesday.
