Wade, who had missed 13 games with a sprained wrist, scored 15 points on 6- of-12 shooting in 24 minutes.
The injury first occurred when Wade fell in a win at Washington back on December 26. He was placed on the injured list January 2 with bone contusions in the wrist.
Wade, the Heat’s top pick in the 2003 NBA Draft, came into Wednesday’s game averaging 16.2 points and a team-high 4.4 assists and 4.2 rebounds. He is also leading the team with 1.28 steals in 36.5 minutes per contest.
To make room for Wade, the Heat placed forward Rasual Butler on the injured list with a strained groin. Butler was averaging 5.7 points to go along with 1.4 rebounds.
