Houston Rockets Team Report - November 27

(Basketball News) - The Houston Rockets were defeated by the Utah Jazz, 83-76, on Wednesday at the Delta Center.

Houston was led by Yao Ming’s 20 points and 10 rebounds. Cuttino Mobley added 14 points, while Steve Francis and Maurice Taylor scored 13 apiece for the Rockets, who have lost two of three.

Yao spent much of the game at the free throw line, which is where he was when he made 1-of-2 to pull Houston within 69-67 with 4:04 remaining in the game. But the Jazz responded with a 12-6 spurt to take an eight-point lead with less than a minute to play.

Kelvin Cato pulled down a game-high 14 rebounds for the Rockets.

Yao was 14-of-16 from the charity stripe, but just 3-of-15 from the floor.

The Rockets are off until Friday when they play the fourth of a five-game road trip against the Sacramento Kings.
