Is Lamar Odom’s Tendinitis Slowing Him Down?

06.14.2008 - Updated on 06.14.2008

The tendinitis in Lamar Odom’s knee has flared up during the NBA Finals. It bothered him to varying degrees throughout the season, but it pained him again during the first three games against the Boston Celtics.

Odom declined to say why he sat out of practice the other day in Boston, wishing to avoid letting the Celtics know the extent of his injury.

But his sore knee is hardly a secret. It could be one of the reasons he scored only four points in Game 3.

Coach Phil Jackson said before Game 4 that the Lakers needed more from Odom. [Whittier Daily News]
