Isiah Thomas Still Looking to Trade Zach Randolph

01.28.2008 - Updated on 01.28.2008

Honesty and trust have become Isiah Thomas’ new buzzwords and he’ll have a chance to prove he practices what he preaches. While saying that he believes the Knicks are a playoff team, Thomas reiterated that he will not be making any deals prior to Feb. 21 trading deadline. ’I don’t want to move anybody,’ he said before last night’s game against the Warriors.

Thomas has a history of ruling out potential trades only to make a move before the deadline. Two weeks ago, Thomas did try to orchestrate a deal with Milwaukee that would have sent Zach Randolph to the Bucks in exchange for several players, including Charlie Villanueva. The Knicks also have been looking to trade Jared Jeffries. There is a belief that Thomas remains interested in Sacramento’s Ron Artest, although any deal for Artest would likely have to include David Lee. Thomas could also be in the market for a starting point guard with Stephon Marbury likely out for the remainder of the season. Click here for more from the New York Daily News.

I like Zbo’s point and rebount production but he plays no defens neither does Eddy Curry and the two of them on the floor together mean free layups all day for everydody. I would rather see Curry go but a power forward is easir to find than a center so Zbo must go. Zbo is a 20 and 10 guy Charlie V is a 16 and 8 guy that is younger and more athletic so why not maybe try and nab a second round pick too or some expiring contract. PULL THE TRIGGER mr thomas please! .
