"We wanted to finish the season off strong," Jack said. "This is probably one of my best performances before the home crowd. It felt really good with the crowd today. I’m glad I came out and played well."

Martell Webster added 17 points and six rebounds for the Blazers, who ended a four-game slide. Jamaal Magloire had nine points and 15 boards for Portland, which won for the third time in 11 outings.

Rashard Lewis had 29 points and Chris Wilcox tallied 20 points and 11 boards for the Sonics, who have dropped three straight. Mike Wilks tallied 17 points and a career-high 11 assists for Seattle, which has dropped seven of eight.

"I thought the first half we had some guys who were not ready to play and their play pretty much showed that," Sonics coach Bob Hill said. "At halftime we discussed that. I thought the third quarter was a lot better. I thought Mike Wilks again played really well. We could not guard (Sergio) Rodriguez, we couldn’t guard (Dan) Dickau and we couldn’t guard Jack."

With the game tied at 79 early in the fourth quarter, the Blazers went on a 14-5 run to take the lead for good. Outlaw scored six points during the burst, capping it with a pair of free throws just about midway through the quarter for a 93-84 lead.

Seattle later drew within 96-93 on a Wilcox bucket with just under five minutes to play, but the Sonics failed to draw any closer the rest of the way.

Still ahead by three points, 101-98, the Blazers scored seven of the next nine points to seal the win.

Damien Wilkins and Mikael Gelabale had 11 points each for the Sonics, who trailed 28-26 after one quarter and 60-50 at halftime.

Game Notes

Neither team is in the playoff hunt. Seattle fell one game behind the Trail Blazers in the standings, helping its chances of receiving more ping-pong balls in the draft lottery...Seattle fell to 11-29 on the road...Portland improved to 18-22 at home.
