The Philadelphia 76ers continue their season-long seven-game road trip when they stop off in Utah to face the Jazz on Wednesday at EnergySolutions Arena. It is the first of two meetings between the clubs this season. The Sixers are scheduled to host the Jazz on March 16th at the Wachovia Center.
Philadelphia has lost four of five and 15 of its last 17 at Utah. The Jazz have won two in a row and five of the last six contests in the series.
Utah concludes a short two-game homestand. Mehmet Okur scored 20 points and grabbed seven rebounds as the Jazz defeated the Portland Trail Blazers, 96-86, on Saturday at EnergySolutions Arena.
Carlos Boozer scored 19 points and pulled down 10 boards in the win for Utah, which has won three of its last four games overall. Andrei Kirilenko ended with 14 points, while Derek Fisher and Paul Millsap scored 11 points apiece in the victory.
The Jazz are an impressive 13-2 at home this season. They will visit the Houston Rockets on Friday at the Toyota Center and the Dallas Mavericks on Saturday at American Airlines Center. Utah is 1-0 against both teams this season.
Boozer leads the Jazz in scoring (21.5 ppg) and rebounding (11.6 rpg), while Deron Williams, who is second on the team in scoring at 16.8 points per game, has dished out a team-best 8.5 assists per contest.
Utah is 20-2 when it scores 100 or more points this season.
