Jazz hope to continue amazing start on road vs. Warriors 11.25.2006

Utah attempts to win its ninth straight game and improve to 13-1 on the season. On Friday, Carlos Boozer had 31 points and 16 rebounds to lead the Jazz over the Los Angeles Lakers, 114-108, at EnergySolutions Arena.
Mehmet Okur added 18 points and 12 boards, while Deron Williams had 15 points and 10 assists in the win over the Lakers for Utah. Veteran Derek Fisher tallied 13 points and Gordan Giricek had 12 for the Jazz.
The last time the Jazz won nine in a row was during the 1999-00 campaign. The winning streak started on February 28, 2000 and lasted until March 16, 2000.
The Jazz are 5-1 on the road this season. After tonight’s contest, Utah returns home to host the Orlando Magic on Monday and the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday.
Golden State tries to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak, as it plays the first of a short two-game homestand. On Friday, J.R. Smith scored 31 points and Carmelo Anthony netted 30 as the Denver Nuggets downed the Warriors, 140-129, in the finale of a home-and-home set at the Pepsi Center.
Andris Bierdins posted a career-high 31 points and 10 rebounds in the loss to Denver for the Warriors. Matt Barnes scored 21 points and Jason Richardson had 18 in defeat.
The Warriors are 6-3 at home this season. They will host Tim Duncan and the San Antonio Spurs on Monday.
This is the second meeting of the season between the Warriors and the Jazz. On November 4th, Boozer had 17 points and 14 rebounds and Okur led the way with 21 points as the Jazz trounced Golden State, 106-82, at the Delta Center, which is now know as EnergySolutions Arena.
The Jazz have won three in a row against the Warriors. Utah has won two straight and three of its last four at Golden State.
