12.4.0200

(Basketball News) - The New York Knicks will resume their six-game homestand tonight when they host the Memphis Grizzlies at Madison Square Garden.

New York, which has lost two in a row and four of five, suffered a 103-100 setback to the Toronto Raptors in the opener of the homestand on Saturday.

Eddy Curry had 27 points and 12 rebounds, while Quentin Richardson had 16 points and 16 rebounds for New York, which has lost four straight and seven of eight at home this season.

Stephon Marbury added 15 points and Jamal Crawford and Renaldo Balkman each had 10 points for the Knicks, who will also welcome Washington, Milwaukee, Boston and Atlanta to historic MSG.

The Grizzlies, meanwhile, have lost two straight and three of four, including Saturday’s 98-97 loss to the Miami Heat at FedEx Forum.

Mike Miller posted 22 points and eight rebounds for the Grizzlies, who will hit the road for three games at New York, Boston and Milwaukee and are 1-8 as the guest this season. Chucky Atkins scored 18 points and Hakim Warrick added 17 in a losing cause.

Memphis went 2-0 against the Knicks last season, but lost its 2006-07 season opener against New York by a 118-117 score in triple overtime on November 1.

The Grizzlies have won five of eight and seven of the last 12 meetings.

Memphis has lost six of its 10 trips to Madison Square Garden.
