Knicks’ Richardson undergoes back surgery

New York, NY (Basketball News) - The New York Knicks announced on Friday that guard/forward Quentin Richardson underwent successful back surgery.

The procedure took place on Thursday and was performed by Dr. Green at UM- Jackson Memorial Hospital.

"Quentin had a successful microdiskectomy and is expected to resume a normal NBA career," said Dr. Green.

In 49 games this season, Richardson has averaged 13.0 points and 7.2 rebounds per contest.
