LeBron James Understands New York Rumors

Fresh off one of the most memorable performances of the season, LeBron James continues to hear rumors of his departure to New York once he can become an unrestricted free agent after the 2009-10 season.

Those rumors got louder after he scored 50 points at Madison Square Garden while wearing his New York Yankees-inspired shoes. James understands.

"Because how bad New York [teams are] and they’re looking for a guy who can help change things around, and because how close I am to Jay-Z [part owner of the Nets], there are questions about that every day," James said. [The Cleveland Plain Dealer]
