(Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Clippers will try and get back on the winning track this evening when they head to the Bay Area to face the Golden State Warriors at The Arena.
Los Angeles saw its losing streak hit seven games on Saturday with a 98-82 thumping at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves at the Staples Center.
Elton Brand finished with 22 points and Chris Kaman delivered a career-high 19 points and 12 rebounds for the Clippers, who fell for the 15th time in their last 17 games.
On the injury front, Quentin Richardson missed last night’s loss because of back spasms, while Chris Wilcox sat out his eighth straight contest with an Achilles’ injury. Both players are doubtful for tonight’s affair.
At 27-47, the Clippers have already secured their 11th straight losing season, which is four short of the NBA record set by Kansas City, which moved to Sacramento before that streak ended.
Los Angeles, which will start a three-game road trip tonight, has dropped three straight and nine of its last 10 on the road and is 9-28 away from home this season.
The Warriors have dropped two of three to the Clips this season and have lost six of the last 10 meetings. Golden State has also lost three straight and five of its last six in the Bay Area against LA.
