Los Angeles Clippers Team Report - November 29
|
(Basketball News) - The Los Angeles Clippers host LeBron James and the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at the Staples Center.
The Clippers play the second contest of a season-high seven-game homestand tonight. LA, which defeated Golden State in the first contest, will also host the Indiana Pacers, Minnesota Timberwolves, Charlotte Bobcats, Los Angeles Lakers and Boston Celtics.
The surprising Clippers knocked off the Warriors, 103-91, on Sunday in the back end of a home-and-home series at the Staples Center. Elton Brand scored 25 points and grabbed 13 rebounds in the win for LA, while Bobby Simmons added 22 points, 10 boards and five assists for the Clippers, who have won a season- high three straight games.
Forward Corey Maggette (ankle) and guard Kerry Kittles (knee) both missed Sunday’s game against Golden State. Both players are questionable for tonight’s contest.
Brand has scored in double-digits in all 14 of the Clippers’ games this season. He has recorded four double-doubles and is averaging 17.9 points and a team-high 8.7 rebounds per game.
The Clippers are 4-3 as the host this season.
Last season, the Clippers and Cavaliers split a pair of games. Overall, Cleveland has won 12 of 17 and 15 of the last 21 contests in this series. The Cavs have lost three of their last four at the Clippers.
