McGrady to miss rest of road trip

Oakland, CA (Basketball News) - Orlando Magic guard Tracy McGrady is expected to miss the remainder of the team’s road trip to attend the funeral of his great-grandmother.

McGrady learned of the death before Wednesday’s game against Golden State and scored just 18 points on 5-of-14 shooting in a 110-85 loss. He admitted after the game that it was a distraction.

"I have a lot on my mind," said McGrady, who also had 10 assists. "I was not really into the game tonight. Instead, I just wanted to get my guys going. I just had a lot of other things going on off the court."

McGrady is averaging a league-high 28.2 points in 66 games this season. He will miss contests against Portland and Seattle this weekend.
