’Melo returns for Denver’s win over the Sixers

 
Denver, CO (Basketball News) - Denver’s Carmelo Anthony returned from a five- game absence by finishing with 24 points and eight rebounds in a 97-92 win over Philadelphia on Friday at the Pepsi Center.

Anthony, who was hampered by a sprained left ankle, is averaging 21.5 points and 6.1 rebounds in 23 games this season for the Nuggets.

The second-year standout from Syracuse has scored 21.3 points in 105 career games.
