(Basketball News) - Mike Miller tied a season-high with 22 points and dished out five assists to lead the Memphis Grizzlies to their sixth straight win, 103-90, over the Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday at the Pyramid.
Earl Watson, filling in again for the injured Jason Williams, scored a season- high 20 points to go along with nine assists and six rebounds. Watson has 23 assists over the past two games. Pau Gasol collected 17 points and 10 rebounds for the Grizzlies, who matched a franchise-best for consecutive wins the team set last season.
Memphis, which tied a season-high with 12 blocks, scored a season- best 62 points in the second half, are now four games above .500 for the first time in franchise history.
Williams has missed five straight games with a strained back muscle and is questionable for Friday’s game against the Miami Heat.
Memphis, which is 8-0 mark when it leads after three quarters, is 6-5 away from home this season.
