=== Memphis Grizzlies Team Report - January 13 ===

(Basketball News) - Shane Battier scored six of his 14 points in the second overtime, as the Memphis Grizzlies outlasted Golden State, 115-113, on Monday in what was the second overtime game in as many days for both teams.

Battier added 10 rebounds, and Mike Miller led all scorers with 24 points for the Grizzlies, who beat the LA Clippers 108-107 in overtime Sunday. Jason Williams added 15 points and 12 assists as Memphis won for the fourth time in five games.

Battier had six points in the second overtime, including a bank-shot with 1:06 remaining that gave the Grizzlies a 110-108 lead. Golden State was unable to convert at the other end, and Stromile Swift drained a jumper with 18 seconds remaining to give Memphis a 112-108 advantage.

Golden State cut the deficit to 112-110 on Nick Van Exel’s layup with 15 ticks remaining, but Swift and James Posey each went 1-of-2 from the foul line to make it 114-110.

Posey’s free throw came after Swift blocked Brian Cardinal’s three-point attempt that would have tied the game.

A Jason Richardson layup got Golden State within 114-112, but Swift’s free throw left the Grizzlies with a 115-112 lead. Mike Dunleavy purposely missed one of his two free throws at the other end, hoping for a putback and the tie, but the attempt failed.

Pau Gasol scored 17 before fouling out in the first OT. He has scored in double digits in 26 straight games for the Grizzlies.

The Grizzlies are off until Thursday when they host the Chicago Bulls.
